About Me

About Me
I'm an Englishman in his late teens.
I don't tend to fit in with my own generation, yet I conversely dislike the majority of the adults I meet in my everyday life. As a person, I often feel isolated and different from everyone else around me, which is why I'm rarely able to express my bizarre thoughts, feelings and musings; hence setting up this blog.

Books
My favourite books are... All of the Sherlock Holmes stories, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. My two favourite Holmes stories are undoubtedly The Final Problem and A Scandal In Bohemia. My favourite, non-Conan Doyle written Sherlock Holmes novel is the superb The Seven Percent Solution by Nicholas Meyer.
My other favourite books include The Godfather by Mario Puzo, 1984 by George Orwell and Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson.

Films
Without a doubt, my favourite film of all time is The Godfather Part II, while my second favourite is definitely the original The Godfather. My favourite film director is Stanley Kubrick, my preferred Kubrick films being 2001: A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange. I adore The Dark Knight Trilogy by Christopher Nolan, as well as Nolan's sci-fi piece Interstellar

TV
My favourite TV series is undoubtedly Doctor Who, with CBS's modern Sherlock Holmes show Elementary coming in at a close second. Before the Sherlock fans start hunting me down and trying to kill me, they should know I also enjoy Sherlock, as well as Elementary. I also enjoy Luther starring Idris Elba, Friends and I did enjoy Two and a Half Men, before they kicked Charlie Sheen.

Music
I adore the work of Zoë Keating, and I'm partial to listening to some of Ludwig Van Beethoven's music. I enjoy songs from the 70's and 80's, such as Life On Mars by David Bowie, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly and any of Janis Joplin's work. My favourite musical artists of all time are The Beatles, John Lennon, Bob Dylan and Frankie Valley.
Conversely, I also listen to a lot of 80's/90's club music but after that I tend to avoid anything too modern.
